wowsb ship tool
I built wowsb ship tool
A while ago I kept flipping between ship pages to check stats and slot equipment. So I made one clean page for it and put it online: wowsb ship tool, for World of Warships Blitz.
It started on 9 September 2026 and it went live the next day. Plan first, build fast, then fix what looks wrong on a real screen.
What it does
- Browse ships as cards. Each card shows the nation flag in the corner, flush to the top-left edge.
- Filter by class, nation and tier. You can pick more than one in a row, so more tags means more ships, not fewer.
- Search any ship by name at the top.
- Tap a ship to open its full stats and its six equipment slots. Load gear and the numbers change live.
- Compare two ships side by side. You can swap either one without leaving the stats screen.
What kept giving me trouble
- The nation flag images were cut as diagonal shields, so a full-height flag band left an empty gap below the art. I cropped each one to its real shape and made it small in the corner.
- The equipment picker opened behind the ship stats and could not be clicked. That was a layer order bug. I raised its layer above the stats and it worked.
- The compare tray kept covering the bottom of the stats. I made it hide while you look at a ship and come back after.
- For a long time compare only knew the ships on screen. I changed it to search the full roster, so you can pick and swap any ship.
- On screen the two compare sides looked like two "selected" states, not two opponents. I gave ship one a blue box and ship two a red one, so you always know which side is which.
Notes
- The stats are reused from the same ship data table as this wiki's Tier 10 database, so both sites stay in sync.
- I started this as a database, then added the compare and equipment on top. Commander skills and a bigger roster are the next step.
- Only a few ships have full data right now. I add more as I clean each one.
Try it at wowsbshiptool.netlify.app. Pick two ships, slot some gear, and see the numbers move. If something looks wrong on your screen, tell me and I will fix it.
