Ship Build
How to put together a build that fits your ship and your playstyle.
What Is a Ship Build?
A ship build is the combination of your upgrade modules and your commander skills. A good build fixes your ship's weaknesses and boosts its strengths. A bad build wastes credits and commander points.
Upgrade Modules
Every ship has six upgrade slots. Choose each module based on what your ship needs most.
- Slot 1: Main battery survivability or damage control, depending on class.
- Slot 2: Aiming or turret traverse, pick what feels slow.
- Slot 3: Hull, fire control, or torpedo launchers, class dependent.
- Slot 4: Damage control, steering, or propulsion.
- Slot 5: Concealment for most ships, usually a must.
- Slot 6: Main battery reload or range for battleships and cruisers.
Commander Skills
Your commander has 21 points to spend. Spend them on skills that match how you play.
- Battleships: survivability first, then main battery reload.
- Cruisers: concealment and utility skills carry most games.
- Destroyers: concealment and torpedo skills are the core.
- Carriers and submarines: class-specific, see the commander skill tier list.
Example Build: Tank Battleship
A safe all-rounder build for most battleships.
- Modules: Main Battery Modification 3, Damage Control Modification 1, Concealment System Modification 1.
- Skills: Fire Prevention, Adrenaline Rush, Concealment Expert, Priority Target.
- Playstyle: hold mid range, angle your armor, and punish enemy mistakes.
This is a starting template. Add your own ships as you go.
